The plot of Lovely begins with two friends, Kittu (Vennela Kishore) and Lalli (Chinmayee Ghatrazu), who meet on Facebook. They become close online friends and eventually decide to meet in person. However, both of them are nervous and afraid that they might not look good enough for each other. To avoid a direct meeting, they both decide to send their best friends instead. Kittu sends his practical and easy-going friend Akash (Aadi Saikumar) to the meeting. At the same time, Lalli sends her beautiful friend Lavanya (Shanvi Srivastava). When Akash and Lavanya meet, they do not realize that they are both pretending to be someone else. Surprisingly, they fall in love at first sight. Their relationship grows quickly as they spend more time together, enjoying each other's company and sharing their thoughts. Eventually, they discover the truth about their friends' online profiles, but their feelings for each other remain real. The story takes a serious turn when Lavanya’s father, Mangalampalli Maharadhi (Rajendra Prasad), enters the scene. He is a very successful and protective father who wants the best for his daughter. When he meets Akash, he is not impressed by his casual behaviour and carefree attitude. He objects to their relationship, believing that Akash is not responsible enough for Lavanya. The rest of the movie follows Akash's efforts to change his ways and prove his worth to Maharadhi.
